Most Arguments Against Index Investing Aren

There are many advantages to index or passive investing.  Index funds that follow the market give investors the performance of the market as a lower cost and without any of the drama associated with selecting the top performing active managers.   Being able to access competitive market returns at low-cost also puts pressure on all asset management fees for the benefit of all investors in the marketplace.  At the same time, some investors object to passive investing using some of the following arguments, most of which are not overly persuasive.
